Lesson 49 – Latin Literature: The Golden Age

Reading: Virgil, The Aeneid, brief excerpts with commentary. Since this is not a literature course, I’m not having you read lengthy excerpts from The Aeneid. The few passages you’ll read at this link, combined with the commentary, will give you the flavor and some of the basic ideas expressed in the great epic.

Yesterday’s lesson was a little short (I omitted the usual review), and today’s runs long. I apologize for that. I got carried away.
