Lesson 114 – The End of the Crusades

The Fifth Crusade is generally considered to be the crusade that ended in 1221 with the defeat of the Crusaders and their subsequent handing over of Damietta. It makes sense to treat Frederick II’s crusade that began in 1228 (he fell ill in 1227, so was unable to depart that year) as part of the same effort, in my opinion, so I have treated them as a unit in this video.
